ٹھنڈی ہوائیں کیا چلی میرے شہر میں
زید ہر طرف یا دوں کا دسمبر بکھر گیا۔
دسمبر چل پڑا گھر سے
سُنا ہے پہنچنے کو ہے۔
ہر طرف سے ہو رہی ہے تجھ پہ شاعری
اے دسمبر ذرہ بتا تری خا صیت ہے کیا۔
دسمبر کی سرد راتوں میں لگا کر ٹیک تکیے سے
یہی ہے مشغلہ اپنا اُسے بس سو چتے رہنا۔
اب کچھ بھی نہیں کہو ں گا تُجھے
جا دسمبر تُو خیریت سے چلا جا۔
اس با ر دسمبر اچھے سے آمد نہیں ہوا
نہ وہ سرد شا میں ہو ئیں، نہ مو سم شا عرانہ ہوا۔
روانہ کر کے تجھے میں بھی لو ٹ جا ؤں گا
اس بار پھر دسمبر میں اکیلا رہ جا ؤں گا۔
کیسے رخصت کروں دسمبر کو
واپس آنے میں سال لگتا ہے۔
دسمبر آ گیا ہے اب قسم سے یا د مت آنا
پرانی چو ٹ اکثر سردیو ں میں درد دیتی ہے۔
محبت کو محبت سے دسمبر میں نبھا یں گے
بچے بن کر سردی کی بارش میں نہا ئیں گے۔
یا دوں کی شال اُوڑھ کر آوارہ گردیا ں
یو ں بھی کا ٹی ہیں ہم نے دسمبر کی سردیا ں
وہ مجھ کو سونپ گیا فرقتیں دسمبر میں
درخت جا ں پہ وہی سردیو ں کا مو سم ہے۔
دسمبر کی ان سرد ہوا ؤں میں
نا جا نے ہم نے کیا کیا کھو دیا۔
وہ یا د کیا آیا کے جا گ اٹھی سب خواہشیں
تازہ درد، سرد ہوا اور دسمبر کی شام۔
ذرا سی دیر۔۔ میسر رہو تم اور مجھے
ذرا سی دیر کا مہما ن ہے دسمبر بھی۔
سو کھے پتو ں میں بھی آنے لگی مشک عنبر
تیری بکھری ہو ئی یا دیں اور یہ زرد دسمبر۔
دسمبر کی مثا ل دوں یا تمہا ری؟
کو ئی پو چھ بیٹھا ہے بدلنا کس کو کہتے ہیں۔
دسمبر کی شب آخر نہ پو چھو کس طرح گزری
یہی لگتا تھا ہر دم وہ ہمیں کچھ پھو ل بھیجے گا۔
چا ندنی رات، ڈھلتی شام، پت چھڑ اور دسمبر
سبھی اک قیا مت ہیں، انتظار کے ماروں پر۔
اگر ہو ں پیٹ میں لقمے، بدل جا تے ہیں مو سم بھی
مئی میں برف پڑتی ہے۔ ۔ ۔ دسمبر گرم ہو تا ہے۔
کہا تھا میرے ہمد م نے، ملے گے دسمبر میں
لو ٹ آؤ کہ میری طرح دسمبر بھی تھو ڑا رہ گیا ہے۔
جسے بارش پسند تھی نجا نے کیو ں
آج دیر تک تنہا دسمبر کی با رش میں بھیگتا رہا۔
